The legal industry has entered an era of rapid change fueled by recessionary downward pressure on legal fees, a global economy, technological innovation, disruptive new legal service models and regulatory changes respecting law firms. Debra will highlight examples of emerging innovations in legal service provision that may impact the sustainability of many traditional law practices. She will also provide suggestions on what lawyers can do to keep their law firms afloat in the developing wave of commoditization of legal services.
